Get Involved

There are lots of ways that residents can get involved in the Bracknell in Bloom Campaign.
Whether you are a lucky enough to have your own garden or are part of a school, business, church or community group there are lots of activities that you could take part in that will help Bracknell Forest bloom.
 

Take Pride

Take pride is a partnership initiative that empowers communities to improve their local environment. Popular Take Pride activities include community litter picks, graffiti removal, woodland tidy ups, pruning and weeding.

Your Gardens

As part of the Bracknell in Bloom campaign, Bracknell Town Council organises a local garden competition which runs from April to September and offers a range of categories.  The competition provides opportunities for all members of the community to take part, from families to children and communities to businesses.

The aim of the competition is to encourage the community to take part in Bracknell in Bloom and take pride in Bracknell Town, making it an attractive place to live, work and visit. The competition is open to all residents, businesses, schools, or community groups within the Parish of Bracknell Town.

There are categories for:
  • Front Garden
  • Community Garden
  • Commercial Premises
  • School Garden
  • Allotment
  • Tallest Sunflower

More details and an application form for entry in the competition may be obtained as follows:- Post or deliver completed paper application forms to Bracknell Town Council, Brooke House, 54 High Street, Bracknell, RG12 1LL.

Email completed electronic application forms to yourgardens@bracknelltowncouncil.gov.uk

Awards will be presented at the Bracknell in Bloom Gala Evening which will take place in October. Results will be announced at the Ceremony and published in the local press shortly afterwards.
 

Volunteers and Volunteering

Bracknell Forest Voluntary Action, BFVA and the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, BTCV are organisations that support volunteer action in Bracknell Forest.

The cleanliness of the street scene is vital to the visual environment of the borough.

You can help us by keeping your frontage clean and tidy, swept and free of litter and weeds.
