Fishing

Fishing is permitted in the lake at Braybrooke Recreation Ground for those who have obtained a fishing permit from the Town Council offices. Open season dawn 16 June to dusk 14 March. Ground opening hours are from dawn to dusk.  Night fishing is not permitted. The relevant swims are marked with a yellow dot on the tarmacadam areas. All fish are to be returned to the water, none are to be killed or removed. To purchase a fishing permit you will need an Environment Agency rod licence (available from the Post Office) and a passport sized photograph.  Normal fees are £14.00, reduced fees of £8.50 are available for Juniors (12-16 years), Senior Citizens and registered disabled persons (proof of disability must be shown).  Two rods may be used during the 2008/09 season.

Day permits for fishing at North Lake and Mill Pond (in association with Bracknell Herons Angling Club) are available from Mill Park Cafe', Wildridings (01344 450014), and Steve's Fishing Cabin, 12 Great Hollands Square (01344 311777).

Football (Senior & Junior)

Birch Hill Recreation Ground Synthetic Pitch is available all year round.  Full floodlighting available. Grass pitches are available at the following locations during the winter soccer season:

The tennis courts open at 9.00 a.m. every day and close one hour after the shop during the summer.  Please pay in the shop. It would be helpful if you could book in advance whenever possible.
