Fishing

Fishing is permitted in the lake at Braybrooke Recreation Ground for those who have obtained a fishing permit from the Town Council offices. Open season is from dawn on 16th June to dusk on 14th March. The Recreation Ground opening hours are from dawn to dusk. Night fishing is NOT permitted. The relevant swims are marked with a yellow dot on the tarmacadam areas.

All fish are to be returned to the water, none are to be killed or removed.

To purchase a fishing permit you will need an Environment Agency rod licence(available from the Post Office) and a passport sized photograph. Normal fees are £14.75, reduced fees of £8.90 are available for Juniors (12-16 years), Senior Citizens and registered disabled persons (proof of disability must be shown). Two rods may be used during the 2011/12 season.

Day permits for fishing at North Lake and Mill Pond (in association with Bracknell Herons Angling Club) are available from Mill Park Cafe', Wildridings (01344 450014), and Crowthorne Angling Centre, 91-95 Church Street, Crowthorne, Tel: 01344 777411.

Most senior sites have changing facilities and all pitches are booked on a seasonal basis in conjunction with the leagues which operate in this area. One-off games are not permitted. Please ring Brooke House on 01344 420079 or e-mail mail@bracknelltowncouncil.gov.uk for details. Birch Hill Recreation Ground Synthetic Pitch is available all year round. Full floodlighting available.

If you would like to book a grass pitch for the 2011/12 winter season, please complete the application form and return to Brooke House.
